Review for IQ Natural Glycolic Acid

I have bought IQ natural Pure Glycolic Acid Chemical Pro Kit Medical Grade Peel AHA 60% peel kit from eBay online. I received it on the 14th day including Saturdays & Sundays which was quicker than I expected.
This Kit includes:
  • Application Fan Brush
  • Glycolic Renewing Cleanser
  • Glycolic Renewing Toner
  • Glycolic Acid Peel
  • Glycolic Therapy Moisturizer
  • Vinyl Zipper Case
  • 15 Gauze Pads
  • Detailed Directions

I bought 60% strength of glycolic acid and diluted it to 30%. In glass bowl I took half of the 60% glycolic acid and half of water which makes it 30% of strength (prepared it before I started the process).
I must say cleanser is just awesome. I feel my skin so refreshed and clean, I even didn’t wanted to go for next step which was toner.  However, after toning I applied glycolic acid with fan brush which is very silky and soft.

First day, I left it for only 1 minute and then next week for 2-3 minutes. My skin was stinging and was little reddish. However, it was temporary and rinse it with cool clean water mixed with a pinch of baking soda to neutralize and pat dry, then applied moisturizer. After 4 weeks of use my spots were lighten and skin was also shining. I didn’t have any skin peeling though.
Remember to avoid sun otherwise you will regret to use it.

Cons: light stinging or tingling with little redness, cannot go into the within 24 hours.

Hi Nazia, are you still using it …did it completely fade of scar ? i have a skin graft scar left on my leg ( they took skin from there 2 yr back for surgery) … now only thing left is dark scar on leg…i cant wear short dresses now…. do u think this will work in this case too ?

    1. Yes, I am still using it, and yet it didn't remove my scars permanently but they become very light.
I use it on my face only which required less concentration of peel like 25%-30%. But on legs you can use higher. I am not sure if it will remove surgery marks permanently.
I suggest you to go to the dermatologist first and see what he recommends. Also, you can try peels and see with 2 or 3 setting if it makes any improvement. If you think it will cost too much, than you can try at home by yourself with some precautions.

Thanks Nazia… if you know of any good Dermatologist based out in Delhi ..( preferably South Delhi side?) please let me know details.

visited one dermatalogist for face suggested salicylic peel and for leg scar suggested glycolic peel.

    1. Hi NJ,

I think it should be vice versa, you should have glycolic peel on you face for initial stage, salicylic acid is strong peel, you won't be able to go out at all in sun.

hey nazia i am also trying one home remedy : 2 nutmeg + 2 cinnamon- grounded and kept powder in a jar. and mixed the powder with milk to form a paste …you may mix with honney otherwise. Apply like face pack or only on scars and keep it for 20-30 min , wash your face with water and pat dry. I found my scars are lightening a bit , its been 2 weeks now and results are visible.

I would like to try glycolic peel as well .

    3. Great… is it also improving your complexion?

    4. NJ

umm brings glow with lactic acid (milk) …overall complexions dint change only scars lightened.

  5. Hi Nazia…. I am planning to go for glycolic peel 35% as i have frekles over my face. As I am a first time user… can you suggest me for how much time I should apply on my face.

    1. If you are a first time user, go for a patch test first. It should be somewhere under your ear, then see how your skin reacts. Initially, you can keep peel for 60-90 seconds.

  7. Hi Nazia
I read your blog carefully.it is so informative.
I am suffering from hyper-pigmentation but no scar, wrinkles or acne.
I went through 70% GA serial peel under supervision of best dermatologist of Pune.
but he made me not satisfied by it's result.
Now this is my turn to use it at home.but i am confused while picking any brand
since some brand seems good over the net like Skin Beauty Solutions,Planet Eden,
Derma Solutions,ASDM Beverly Hills & IQ natural.i think ph level of 60% IQ natural is 2.6.
As u know ph level between 2 to 3 is considering safe and it is more important than concentration.
I am not sure how ph level is between 1 to 1.5 play role of tissue damage.
But unfortunately u have to stick to unbuffered peel with ph level between 1.5 to 2 if want to control acne or pigmentation.
Ga below 10% topical cream is approved by Fda but it wont show visible result before 6 months.
I used it around 2 years without any side effect and got more than 40% improvement.
If u clear my some doubt i would be thankful to u.

    1. Hi Manoj,
Its true 10% doesn't show any results, but in my opinion 60% is strong, however, if you have been using that strength already than its fine you can try it at home.
I have used IQ and Beverly Hills, both looks fine to me. I have used up to 30% of strength, and it also caused me some permanent burned marks due to the time limit I let is stay on my face.
So, you have to be careful about the amount of time you should let it stay even 25% can also cause tissue damage.
Hope I have answered your question.

    2. Thanks Nazia for your valuable advice.
Did u have any prior positive feedback about the company which is used by u
and how these products r shipped through ebay, com because here price is in $ ?
Let me know How u got permanent burned marks by 30% Ga peel although it is very superficial peel,u would have left it more than 5 mins on ur face.
Now u can dilute ur peel to 50% strength by having 30 drops of solution+10 drops of distilled water.
and dont take more than the amount of solution(buz this is already 2 ml and enough amount is used in a setting) and let it stay on ur face between 2 to 3 mins only.

  8. I generally use 12% glycolic acid cream on daily basis. It really makes your skin softer, fairer and clarified. Now as I am reading this article..I feel like I should try high concentration peel once in a while 🙂

    1. Suresh, I assume for higher concentration you go with highly qualified doctors only. Recently I had my peel done with Dr. Gulshant Paneser, who is a doctor in Moolchand hospital, she burned my face. Therefore just be careful.

    2. Yes..i too heard such stories. My derm doctor always cracks jokes on me. "You are already fair complexioned person and you dont have pigmentation anywhere on your face, why do you need peels in the first place?." She asks me that. She did basic peel on my face with 30% glycolic acid. My skin became flaky, crusty..for 2 days and after that my complexion became so radiant. I loved the way that peel made my skin. Now i feel like i should go for home peeling kit like above 🙂
